This guide to till cash counts for photocopy shop explains the daily checks. Close each named photocopy shop till against its own opening cash and cash transactions. M-Pesa and card records should not be counted as banknotes in the drawer.

Till cash counts for photocopy shop: link the sale to the right counter

For this rehearsal, use two A4 copy units and one A3 copy. Select the branch and named till before recording the sale. The cashier should use a display name that can appear at the receipt footer; an email address is not needed there.

Count the cash actually present, then compare it with the expected cash for that till and shift. This worked example assumes no cash refunds, payouts or other movements.

Cash count worksheet

Planning worksheet only. These figures stay on this page and never create POS records.

Close the shift deliberately

  1. Confirm the branch, till and shift before taking the count.
  2. Count the drawer without including the M-Pesa or card total.
  3. Check recorded cash refunds and any other real drawer movement.
  4. Review differences with the cashier and keep an explanation rather than editing product sales to force a match.
  5. Agree the handover cash before the next shift starts.

Do not confuse the worksheet with POS features

The worksheet helps reconcile physical cash. Its fields for other additions and removals do not imply a dedicated cash-movement module in the POS. Record and reconcile any movement through the supported business process. A single branch total cannot explain which of two tills has a shortage.

A useful end-of-day question

The cashier must enter the measured job quantity; the software does not read copier counters automatically.

Product fit for this business

Defined service units can be sold. Booking calendars, commissions, custody records and specialist job cards are not included.

All amounts and product movements on this page are illustrative. The public demo uses sample records. Use an isolated test installation for rehearsal and replace sample prices and counts before real trading.

Try the workflow before choosing your setup

The launch software licence is KES 4,999 once for one business installation, including its branches and tills. Hardware, installation, hosting, support and future upgrades have separate terms. These planning guides do not activate a licence or deploy an installation.
