PRACTICAL POS GUIDE · KENYA

Stock counting for juice bar POS in Kenya

This guide to stock counting for juice bar explains the daily checks. Reconcile the physical count of Mango juice cup with deliveries and sales. A stock difference should be explained before it is adjusted.

Stock counting for juice bar: count the same unit that you sell

Set fixed cup sizes and prepared drink options as distinct sales items. Add extras separately if they change the customer price.

Count finished sale portions at the counter. A sale of one portion does not automatically deduct its recipe ingredients, so ingredient reconciliation needs its own process.

Expected stock = opening units + received units − sold units, before returns or adjustments. Here 20 + 10 − 4 = 26. The physical count is one lower. Check deliveries, damage and unrecorded movement before deciding the reason.

Investigate before changing the balance

  1. Recount Mango juice cup using the catalogue unit.
  2. Check that a delivery of Passion juice cup was not entered against Mango juice cup.
  3. Compare receiving records and sales within the same branch and period.
  4. Separate damage, quarantine and customer returns from normal usable stock.
  5. Record the reason for a supported adjustment and keep the count evidence.

What the worksheet leaves out

This worksheet covers opening units, receipts and sales only. Add recorded returns, voids and adjustments when reconciling real records. It is not a stock reservation service, a batch allocator or proof that two offline devices have the same available balance.

Product fit for this business

Fixed menu items and portions are supported. Recipe deductions, kitchen tickets and table management are not included.

All amounts and product movements on this page are illustrative. The public demo uses sample records. Use an isolated test installation for rehearsal and replace sample prices and counts before real trading.

Try the workflow before choosing your setup
