PRACTICAL POS GUIDE · KENYA

Catalogue setup for juice bar POS in Kenya

This guide to catalogue setup for juice bar explains the daily checks. Prepare the juice bar catalogue before the first sale: choose the selling unit, separate similar items and enter counted opening stock. This guide uses Mango juice cup, Passion juice cup and Fruit salad bowl as examples.

Catalogue setup for juice bar: decide what one quantity means

Set fixed cup sizes and prepared drink options as distinct sales items. Add extras separately if they change the customer price.

A finished meal or fixed portion is the checkout unit. Record preparation ingredients separately; this preset does not calculate recipes or food cost from ingredient use.

A starter catalogue to adapt

The figures below are illustrative preset prices, not market quotations. They do not describe your stock. Replace them before trading.

Load and rehearse in this order

  1. Check that Mango juice cup has a clear name, unit, price and unique item code.
  2. Distinguish Passion juice cup from Mango juice cup; a similar name must not hide a different pack.
  3. Count usable Mango juice cup units and record that physical opening quantity.
  4. On sample records, sell two Mango juice cup units and confirm only that item reduces by two.
  5. Review the receipt and backup before entering real business records.

Correct the catalogue without hiding a stock difference

If Mango juice cup was named incorrectly, correct the name. If its quantity is wrong, investigate the count and record an explained adjustment. Editing a price or changing a description does not explain missing units. Keep old transactions readable when deciding how to rename an item.
