PRACTICAL POS GUIDE · KENYACatalogue setup for phone accessories POS in Kenya
This guide to catalogue setup for phone accessories explains the daily checks. Prepare the phone accessories catalogue before the first sale: choose the selling unit, separate similar items and enter counted opening stock. This guide uses Phone case, Screen protector and Wall charger as examples.
Catalogue setup for phone accessories: decide what one quantity means
Name the connector, device fit and pack size for cables, chargers and screen protectors. Similar-looking accessories may have different compatibility.
Create separate entries for the variants customers can buy. A different size or model needs its own stock count, even if it shares a family name with another item.
A starter catalogue to adapt
The figures below are illustrative preset prices, not market quotations. They do not describe your stock. Replace them before trading.
| Item or service | Sale unit | Sample KES price | Opening count |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phone case | piece | 400 | Count actual units |
| Screen protector | piece | 250 | Count actual units |
| Wall charger | piece | 600 | Count actual units |
| USB-C cable 1 m | piece | 250 | Count actual units |
| Car charger dual USB | piece | 650 | Count actual units |
| Phone ring holder | piece | 150 | Count actual units |
Load and rehearse in this order
- Check that Phone case has a clear name, unit, price and unique item code.
- Distinguish Screen protector from Phone case; a similar name must not hide a different pack.
- Count usable Phone case units and record that physical opening quantity.
- On sample records, sell two Phone case units and confirm only that item reduces by two.
- Review the receipt and backup before entering real business records.
Correct the catalogue without hiding a stock difference
If Phone case was named incorrectly, correct the name. If its quantity is wrong, investigate the count and record an explained adjustment. Editing a price or changing a description does not explain missing units. Keep old transactions readable when deciding how to rename an item.

All amounts and product movements on this page are illustrative. The public demo uses sample records. Use an isolated test installation for rehearsal and replace sample prices and counts before real trading.
