PRACTICAL POS GUIDE · KENYAStock counting for gaming lounge POS in Kenya
This guide to stock counting for gaming lounge explains the daily checks. Reconcile the physical count of Gaming session 30 min with deliveries and sales. A stock difference should be explained before it is adjusted.
Stock counting for gaming lounge: count the same unit that you sell
Define a fixed play session or merchandise item with a clear duration or unit. Different console or group packages may need separate items.
For services, a quantity may represent a defined sale unit rather than physical shelf stock. Do not treat it as a booking or staff availability calendar.
Worked reconciliation
| Movement | Gaming session 30 min units |
|---|---|
| Opening usable count | 20 |
| Received from supplier | +10 |
| Sold | −4 |
| Expected remaining | 26 |
| Physical count | 25 |
| Difference to investigate | −1 |
Expected stock = opening units + received units − sold units, before returns or adjustments. Here 20 + 10 − 4 = 26. The physical count is one lower. Check deliveries, damage and unrecorded movement before deciding the reason.
