Till cash counts for chips kiosk POS in Kenya

This guide to till cash counts for chips kiosk explains the daily checks. Close each named chips kiosk till against its own opening cash and cash transactions. M-Pesa and card records should not be counted as banknotes in the drawer.

Till cash counts for chips kiosk: link the sale to the right counter

For this rehearsal, use two Chips small units and one Chips large. Select the branch and named till before recording the sale. The cashier should use a display name that can appear at the receipt footer; an email address is not needed there.

Count the cash actually present, then compare it with the expected cash for that till and shift. This worked example assumes no cash refunds, payouts or other movements.

Cash count worksheet

Planning worksheet only. These figures stay on this page and never create POS records.

Close the shift deliberately

  1. Confirm the branch, till and shift before taking the count.
  2. Count the drawer without including the M-Pesa or card total.
  3. Check recorded cash refunds and any other real drawer movement.
  4. Review differences with the cashier and keep an explanation rather than editing product sales to force a match.
  5. Agree the handover cash before the next shift starts.

Do not confuse the worksheet with POS features

The worksheet helps reconcile physical cash. Its fields for other additions and removals do not imply a dedicated cash-movement module in the POS. Record and reconcile any movement through the supported business process. A single branch total cannot explain which of two tills has a shortage.

A useful end-of-day question

A potato bag is a preparation input, not a finished portion. The preset does not convert raw potato stock into portions sold.

Product fit for this business

Fixed menu items and portions are supported. Recipe deductions, kitchen tickets and table management are not included.

All amounts and product movements on this page are illustrative. The public demo uses sample records. Use an isolated test installation for rehearsal and replace sample prices and counts before real trading.

Try the workflow before choosing your setup

The launch software licence is KES 4,999 once for one business installation, including its branches and tills. Hardware, installation, hosting, support and future upgrades have separate terms. These planning guides do not activate a licence or deploy an installation.
