PRACTICAL POS GUIDE · KENYA

Catalogue setup for car wash POS in Kenya

This guide to catalogue setup for car wash explains the daily checks. Prepare the car wash catalogue before the first sale: choose the selling unit, separate similar items and enter counted opening stock. This guide uses Saloon wash, SUV wash and Interior clean as examples.

Catalogue setup for car wash: decide what one quantity means

Separate vehicle categories and service packages so a saloon wash is not mistaken for a van or detailing service.

Define the service being charged and its fixed unit. Recording one service sale does not reserve an appointment, create a job card or track an item left for repair.

A starter catalogue to adapt

The figures below are illustrative preset prices, not market quotations. They do not describe your stock. Replace them before trading.

Load and rehearse in this order

  1. Check that Saloon wash has a clear name, unit, price and unique item code.
  2. Distinguish SUV wash from Saloon wash; a similar name must not hide a different pack.
  3. Count usable Saloon wash units and record that physical opening quantity.
  4. On sample records, sell two Saloon wash units and confirm only that item reduces by two.
  5. Review the receipt and backup before entering real business records.

Correct the catalogue without hiding a stock difference

If Saloon wash was named incorrectly, correct the name. If its quantity is wrong, investigate the count and record an explained adjustment. Editing a price or changing a description does not explain missing units. Keep old transactions readable when deciding how to rename an item.

Try the workflow before choosing your setup

The launch software licence is KES 4,999 once for one business installation, including its branches and tills. Hardware, installation, hosting, support and future upgrades have separate terms. These planning guides do not activate a licence or deploy an installation.
