Catalogue setup for pizza outlet POS in Kenya

This guide to catalogue setup for pizza outlet explains the daily checks. Prepare the pizza outlet catalogue before the first sale: choose the selling unit, separate similar items and enter counted opening stock. This guide uses Pizza small, Pizza medium and Pizza large as examples.

Catalogue setup for pizza outlet: decide what one quantity means

Different sizes and fixed topping combinations need separate catalogue items with prices visible to the cashier.

A finished meal or fixed portion is the checkout unit. Record preparation ingredients separately; this preset does not calculate recipes or food cost from ingredient use.

A starter catalogue to adapt

The figures below are illustrative preset prices, not market quotations. They do not describe your stock. Replace them before trading.

Load and rehearse in this order

  1. Check that Pizza small has a clear name, unit, price and unique item code.
  2. Distinguish Pizza medium from Pizza small; a similar name must not hide a different pack.
  3. Count usable Pizza small units and record that physical opening quantity.
  4. On sample records, sell two Pizza small units and confirm only that item reduces by two.
  5. Review the receipt and backup before entering real business records.

Correct the catalogue without hiding a stock difference

If Pizza small was named incorrectly, correct the name. If its quantity is wrong, investigate the count and record an explained adjustment. Editing a price or changing a description does not explain missing units. Keep old transactions readable when deciding how to rename an item.
