PRACTICAL POS GUIDE · KENYACatalogue setup for spa and massage service POS in Kenya
This guide to catalogue setup for spa and massage service explains the daily checks. Prepare the spa and massage service catalogue before the first sale: choose the selling unit, separate similar items and enter counted opening stock. This guide uses Massage session, Facial session and Foot treatment as examples.
Catalogue setup for spa and massage service: decide what one quantity means
Name a fixed treatment and duration so staff know which service is being charged. Keep retail products separate.
Define the service being charged and its fixed unit. Recording one service sale does not reserve an appointment, create a job card or track an item left for repair.
A starter catalogue to adapt
The figures below are illustrative preset prices, not market quotations. They do not describe your stock. Replace them before trading.
| Item or service | Sale unit | Sample KES price | Opening count |
|---|---|---|---|
| Massage session | session | 2,500 | Count actual units |
| Facial session | session | 1,800 | Count actual units |
| Foot treatment | slot | 1,200 | Count actual units |
| Back massage 30 min | slot | 1,500 | Count actual units |
| Full body scrub session | session | 2,200 | Count actual units |
| Steam session 30 min | session | 1,000 | Count actual units |
Load and rehearse in this order
- Check that Massage session has a clear name, unit, price and unique item code.
- Distinguish Facial session from Massage session; a similar name must not hide a different pack.
- Count usable Massage session units and record that physical opening quantity.
- On sample records, sell two Massage session units and confirm only that item reduces by two.
- Review the receipt and backup before entering real business records.
Correct the catalogue without hiding a stock difference
If Massage session was named incorrectly, correct the name. If its quantity is wrong, investigate the count and record an explained adjustment. Editing a price or changing a description does not explain missing units. Keep old transactions readable when deciding how to rename an item.

Product fit for this business
Defined service units can be sold. Booking calendars, commissions, custody records and specialist job cards are not included.
All amounts and product movements on this page are illustrative. The public demo uses sample records. Use an isolated test installation for rehearsal and replace sample prices and counts before real trading.
Try the workflow before choosing your setup
The launch software licence is KES 4,999 once for one business installation, including its branches and tills. Hardware, installation, hosting, support and future upgrades have separate terms. These planning guides do not activate a licence or deploy an installation.
